The German company HPS Home Power Solutions has placed an order for hydrogen storage systems with Hexagon Purus’ wholly owned subsidiary, Wystrach GmbH.
Green hydrogen will be stored using Wystrach’s hydrogen storage systems, which are based on their industrial gas bundle technology. Green hydrogen is produced using surplus solar power from the summer and converted back into electricity in the winter using an electrolyzer. The order is worth approximately EUR 2.0 million.
“Our high-pressure hydrogen storage systems are flexible and scalable, suitable for a wide range of applications, such as storing baseload energy from solar plants” says Matthias Kötter, Head of Wystrach Sales, Hexagon Purus. “We are proud to once again be selected to support HPS, a long-standing partner of Hexagon Purus.”
