Marubeni Europower has submitted plans to develop a green hydrogen production facility in Bridgend, named the HyBont Green Hydrogen Project. The £31m facility will generate hydrogen by splitting water into its component parts through the use of electrolysers powered by electrical energy.

Plug Power, a leading provider of hydrogen engines and fueling solutions, has announced the launch of its new high-power stationary hydrogen-powered fuel cell system for commercial electric vehicles (EV) fleets. The company claims that the system combines its 18,000-gallon (81,829 litres) liquid hydrogen tank with its megawatt-scale PEM fuel cell solution, providing over 60MWh of instantaneous energy to charge more than 600 EVs.

Powerhouse Energy Group (PHE), a UK-based clean energy company, has completed the acquisition of the entire shareholding in Protos Plastics to Hydrogen No 1 Ltd, the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) established for the development of the plastics to hydrogen project at the Protos site near Chester. The company bought the SPV from Peel NRE Ltd for a nominal payment of £1.

United Hydrogen Limited (UHL) has announced that the valuation of its investee H2X has increased from $69.1m to $100m, resulting in an immediate uplift in valuation for UHL’s shareholders who invested in the pre-IPO capital raise. As one of the largest shareholders in H2X, UHL believes that it will deliver significant value in 2023 as H2X heads towards a listing on the London Stock Exchange.
