Hydroplane has started a pre-launch, no-obligation waitlist for its first hydrogen fuel cell powerplants.

“Our fuel cell electric powerplant for single-engine aircraft is your opportunity to combat climate change, at altitude, by emitting only water,” said Hydroplane CEO Dr. Anita Sengupta, herself an avid general aviation pilot. “We are excited to now offer people the opportunity to be the first to transition to sustainable, carbon emission-free propulsion.”

Hydroplane is developing a 200 kW (270 hp) modular hydrogen fuel cell powerplant for the experimental aircraft, general aviation, and urban air mobility markets, which surpasses battery alternatives in endurance and requires no charge time.
