The production of the first units of Ingeteam’s new converter, Ingecon H2 C-lyzer, has already commenced in Navarra.

The Ingeteam converters are responsible for supplying direct current to the electrolyzer so that the water molecules can be separated into hydrogen and oxygen.

The power and control electronics for the electrolyzer’s electrical current supply is consequently one of the most important aspects of producing green hydrogen through electrolysis, as the electrolyzer’s electrical supply has a significant impact on its efficiency and degradation. In Belgium, California, and Bizkaia, Spain, these initial orders for green hydrogen converters will be installed.

Harkaitz Ibaiondo, director of Ingeteam’s green hydrogen company, stated, “The fact that we have received three orders from three separate clients in three different nations and continents in such a short period of time proves that our technology inspires client confidence”

These first orders reinforce Ingeteam’s contribution of value and commitment to the green hydrogen sector, an industry with strong growth prospects in which the company has much to contribute due to its extensive experience in the field of power electronics applied to the generation of renewable energy.
