Invinity Energy Systems has introduced its new vanadium redox flow battery technology, named Endurium, which boasts a 50% smaller footprint compared to previous designs.
This innovative battery system is designed to provide unlimited cycling capability and the potential for 24/7 renewable power delivery, positioning it as a significant advancement in the energy storage sector.
The Endurium battery is not only focused on long-duration storage but also offers high-throughput capabilities, capable of delivering both 8-hour discharges and managing multiple 2-hour cycles per day. This flexibility allows for diverse applications in renewable energy integration. Invinity’s partnership with Siemens Gamesa supports its ambitious production capacity of 700 MWh annually across the UK and Canada, facilitating rapid scaling of this technology.
Invinity Energy Systems aims to make renewable energy ready to replace conventional generation systems “anytime, anywhere.” This launch represents a critical step in the ongoing energy transition, demonstrating how innovative storage solutions can enhance the reliability and efficiency of renewable energy sources.
