Optimized Process Designs and Koch Project Solutions, two Koch Engineered Solutions firms, will work with Fidelis Infrastructure to build the Grön Fuels renewable energy complex in Louisiana.
Green hydrogen, renewable diesel, sustainable aviation fuels, and bio-plastic feedstocks will be generated as part of the $9.2 billion multi-year initiative. Biogenic carbon capture and sequestration are also part of the plan.
With the use of biogenic carbon capture and sequestration, the project is expected to generate the equivalent of 1,000 MW of green hydrogen produced by electrolysis, with a path to a net negative CO2 carbon footprint.
Engineering, procurement, and construction skills, as well as project management services, will be provided by Koch business units.
