Both Korea and Uruguay are committed to working together to develop a reliable clean hydrogen supply chain that integrates hydrogen mobility technology.
Since hydro and wind power account for more than 80% of renewable energy generation in Uruguay, it is possible for the country to produce green hydrogen. Due to Korea’s extensive knowledge and experience in hydrogen vehicle technology and supply, it is anticipated that Korean firms would contribute to the growth of hydrogen mobility advocated by the Uruguayan government.
Greenhouse gas emission reduction strategies, such as increased use of renewable energy sources and joint development of electric vehicles, were also highlighted.
