Korea Gas Corp. will construct and operate its first manufacturing hydrogen charging station in Andong, Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province, beginning next month.

The Gimhae Hydrogen Charging Station is the first of its kind in the city, located within the Korea Gas Corporation’s Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters.

The project cost a total of 6 billion won, with the Ministry of the Environment, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Gimhae City contributing 3 billion won and the Korea Gas Corporation contributing 3 billion won. It is equipped with charging stations capable of charging ten hydrogen automobiles or two hydrogen buses per hour and is open all year for the convenience of users.

By running its own hydrogen charging station in Gimhae, Korea Gas Corp. will provide the groundwork for both its primary business, natural gas manufacturing and sales, and its hydrogen business.
