Lithuanian company Nord Steel is set to supply the first hydrogen storage tanks for a green hydrogen facility in the Baltics, located at the Port of Klaipėda.

This significant project is part of a 1.4 million euros contract commissioned by EPC contractor MT Group. The agreement covers the design, construction, and delivery of three cutting-edge green hydrogen storage tanks.

The storage tanks include a 40-bar hydrogen buffer tank and two storage tanks, which have impressive pressure capacities of 550 bar and 1000 bar. The goal of this project is to create a strong reference point for the hydrogen industry globally.

Nord Steel operates three advanced steel fabrication plants in Lithuania. It serves diverse industries, including power generation, construction, marine, oil and gas, and environmental sectors, indicating a broad range of competence.
