The Pleasants Power Plant, now under Omnis Fuel’s stewardship, has recently been revitalized, resuming electricity production and saving more than 160 jobs in the heart of West Virginia. Omnis Fuel’s ambitious vision for the Pleasants Power Plant involves retrofitting it to produce electricity using hydrogen, a pivotal step toward achieving zero net greenhouse gas emissions. Beyond its environmental implications, Omnis Fuel’s investment will generate approximately 600 jobs in the region and help preserve 1.2 gigawatts of power generation capacity. To put this into perspective, that’s enough electricity to power one million homes.
