NovoHydrogen, a prominent green hydrogen project developer, is set to advance its green hydrogen initiatives in Oregon.
The company announced the signing of a subrecipient agreement for its Express Ranch Hydrogen project, enabling it to receive initial federal funding. This marks the beginning of activities under the Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Hub, which spans across six sites in the region.
The project in Oregon has gained significant support from the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations. This federal backing will aid NovoHydrogen in various stages of development, including planning, environmental permitting, and procurement. The goal is to construct a green hydrogen facility on-site aimed at decarbonizing heavy-duty haul trucks.
The site, identified as Node 5, will produce over 0.5 tons per day of clean hydrogen. This facility is designed to meet 45V regulations and will primarily serve transportation needs like heavy-duty trucks. The infrastructure will also feature pipelines, storage, and refueling stations accessible to both public and private users.
