Nuvera Fuel Cells and power management services provider, Power Innovations International, have developed a hydrogen-powered generator and rapid charger.
The zero-emission 30 kVA power generator, intended for on-site use and EV charging, will launch at the ACT Expo in Las Vegas.
The generator offers high-quality AC and DC power, capable of charging electric vehicles and powering electric equipment efficiently. Cutting edge “Direct-to-Charge™” technology is integrated, along with a customizable trailer design, multiple power outlets, component customization options, and grid independence. The genset can operate in emission-regulated zones, locations prioritizing air quality, and even in harsh sub-zero environments. Its low operating noise levels also make it suitable for noise-sensitive environments.
Kedar Murthy, Nuvera’s Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the achievement of a significant milestone towards a greener future. The company’s North American Sales and Business Development Leader, Mike Basile, expressed the unit’s natural fit for the escalating demand for clean on-site power and grid-independent EV charging.
The DC fast charger can recharge both on and off-road EVs with up to 30kW output, with an output range of 250 – 920Vdc. It can also offer up to 30kW of AC. Other units with a wider range of capabilities are currently being developed, expected to be debuted later in the year.
