Launched by FirstElement Fuel, the new filling station in the San Fernando Valley expands refuelling possibilities for fuel cell vehicles in Southern California.
According to the California Fuel Cell Partnership, FirstElement Fuel is expanding the hydrogen refueling infrastructure in Southern California with the opening of a new hydrogen filling station in the San Fernando Valley, greater Los Angeles area (CaFCP).
The Studio City True Zero hydrogen station, which is open 24 hours a day, has an 808 kilogram capacity and two fueling positions with a total of three nozzles (two H70 nozzles and one H35 nozzle).
“It is part of the next wave of larger hydrogen stations with greater capacity, diversified hydrogen sources and a lower pump price”
CaFCP
The price of hydrogen is $13.14 per kilogram.
The station provides hydrogen that is entirely renewable. In California, at least 33% of hydrogen fuel must come from renewable sources. This sum rises to 40% for stations that apply for the Low Carbon Fuel Standard ZEV infrastructure credit.
