Punta Colorada is a priority for hydrogen

Arabela Carreras, the Governor of Ro Negro, said in Viedma that she had requested President Alberto Fernández in her province to “prioritize the road to Punta Colorada since it would be crucial for the generation of hydrogen” above other projects, such as a path to Lago Escondido.

According to the provincial president, an application has been submitted for the building of a public access route to Lago Escondido, which is now under the authority of businessman Joe Lewis’ private security.

According to Carreras, on his journey to Russia, China, and Barbados, he spoke with Fernández, and “I requested that he expedite the development of the road to Punta Colorada in Sierra Grande because it will be critical for the production of hydrogen.”

“It appears to us to be very positive that the national government is investing in roads in Ro Negro, and it would be really beneficial if it could contribute to rural roads,” the province president stated.

That being the case, he stated emphatically that “we are going to offer all the options that would necessitate investment by the national government.” “This priority should be based on listening to the locals and producers,” says Carreras.

He explained that the Rio Negro government had placed some issues on the agenda, such as the entrance to Punta Colorada from National Route 3, in Sierra Grande, “which is a 30-kilometer gravel road that will necessitate an investment by the national government.” He added that the entrance to Punta Colorada from National Route 3 would necessitate an investment by the national government.

“This week, I will travel to Buenos Aires to oversee the construction of that road, which is a priority for us since it is productive and will have a positive influence on the development of Ro Negro,” he said during a news conference.

“The route to Lago Escondido is the most important road to build out of all the roads that may be developed. The fact that it is being constructed and that it provides access to a water source is commendable; however, the traffic of our local population does not prioritize the project because it is located in an area where neither the production of Ro Negro nor the usual traffic of the residents passes “Carreras expressed himself in this way.

During his speech, he stated that “I requested that the President give top priority to the route to Punta Colorada since it would be critical in the generation of hydrogen.”

In this regard, he added that there are additional priority routes in Rio Negro, such as the access road to the Trailacawe region, which he described as follows: A community of indigenous people resides there, and the community wishes to expand its activities into tourism, “but it is unable to do so because the road is lacking; that project has been completed; we do not have the resources to construct it, and this indigenous community has been suing him.”

Afterward, he said, “we’re going to put it on the agenda so that the president can take it into consideration, and then he’ll make his choice.”
