Quantron and Ballard Power Systems partnered to produce an FCEV Heavy Duty Truck.
The Quantron QHM FCEV uses Ballard’s FCmove-XD 120 kW fuel cell with Allison Transmission’s eGen Power 130D E-axle. Quantron offers an optional aero package for all QHM FCEV trucks to boost range by 10%.
This configuration will also be offered as a road train for long-distance heavy load transportation.
Quantron presents an all-electric heavy-duty truck platform at the IAA Transportation. The Quantron QHM BEV is available as the Quantron QHM BEV 44-400 tractor unit and the Quantron QHM BEV 27-400 chassis. The 392 kWh high-voltage battery may be recharged to give 350 kW DC and has a 350 km working range, depending on weight and topography.
The heavy Quantron QHM BEVs are electrified without modifying the engine- or gearbox-dependent power take-off technology. Even the power take-offs and frame mountings haven’t changed. Quantron provides body manufacturers a unique interface and solution. Visitors can evaluate the body-friendliness of the Quantron IAA Transportation exhibition.
