Saudi Arabia has achieved a new milestone in sustainable transportation as its national railway company has entered into an agreement with its French partner to commence testing for its ambitious hydrogen train project.

Japan will subsidize hydrogen fuel cell systems and other equipment to the tune of 30.6 billion yen ($205 million) in support of the development of components for electric aircraft with reduced carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

Forvia, a global leader in automotive technology, has announced the opening of its first mass production plant for Type IV hydrogen tanks in Allenjoie, France. The plant is the first of its kind in Europe and North America, and is expected to produce 100,000 tanks annually.

Tunisia is setting its sights on becoming a global powerhouse in the production and export of green hydrogen, with an ambitious target of manufacturing 8.3 million tonnes per year by 2050.
