Spain is stepping up its efforts to expand renewable energy and green hydrogen production by 2030. The Council of Ministers has approved a new plan aimed at significantly increasing the country’s capacity for wind and solar power.

As Germany increasingly shifts towards renewable energy sources, its need for natural gas, including from countries like Canada, is rapidly diminishing. This was confirmed by Jennifer Morgan, Germany’s climate envoy, who emphasized that studies predict a significant reduction in the gas market as the country advances its renewable energy initiatives.

A Spanish infrastructure company, Redexis, announced a significant milestone for Spain’s energy sector. The Madrid-based firm has started injecting hydrogen, produced from renewable energy sources, into the country’s natural gas network through Spain’s first dedicated hydrogen pipeline.
