Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) is advancing as a global hydrogen specialist by participating in all value chains, including “production, supply, distribution, and consumption” of hydrogen, a promising clean energy.
Along with the nuclear power industry, Korea is working to develop the hydrogen industry as an axis that will be in charge of ensuring future energy security. One such initiative is accelerating the development of hydrogen infrastructure.
Many people believe that hydrogen will be the fuel of the future. However, when it comes to its large-scale, commercial transport and storage, there are still difficulties and safety restrictions to increasing the storage efficiency of liquefied hydrogen fuel.
In order to integrate, assemble, and deliver GKN’s hydrogen equipment in Australia and New Zealand using the OEM hydrogen metal hydride storage technology, GreenHy2 and GKN have signed an Exclusive Agency Agreement.
In partnership with the government-run Korea Railroad Research Institute, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport was successful in creating a test car for a hydrogen-powered electric train.
