SSE Renewables is seeking consent for the next phase of its Firth of Forth offshore wind farms, Berwick Bank and Marr Bank. Combined, these proposed developments could generate up to 4.15 GW of renewable electricity.
RPS has been appointed the lead offshore Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and shadow Habitat Regulation Appraisal (HRA) consultant for both Berwick Bank and Marr Bank offshore wind farm projects.
“We are pleased to have RPS on board as lead EIA and HRA consultants. They bring a wealth of experience to this key discipline for the development of the Berwick Bank and Marr Bank projects and we look forward to working with them.”
Louise Davis, Berwick Bank and Marr Bank consent team manager.
“Having provided post consent support services to both Seagreen Alpha and Bravo, it’s really exciting to be leading the EIA and HRA for both Berwick Bank and Marr Bank. We are looking forward to working with SSE Renewables’ development team and in close collaboration with the project’s key stakeholders throughout the pre-application phase for both projects.”
Emily King, project director of the offshore EIA and HRA.
RPS will lead the development of the Berwick Bank and Marr Bank Scoping Reports, EIA Reports, HRA Screening Reports and Report to Inform Appropriate Assessments (RIAAs), to inform the application for consent for both projects.
