According to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, the federal budget includes 9.3 billion rubles in investments for the advancement of hydrogen energy for the years up to 2024.
“Russia is growing the hydrogen sector as part of the development of low-carbon energy. A strategy for the high-tech direction “Development of Hydrogen Energy” was adopted by the government at the end of the previous year, and it has since become the single most important document for the industry’s growth. The Russian government, State Corporation Rosatom, and PJSC Gazprom inked a deal on the road map’s implementation in January of this year, Alexander Novak remembered.
As previously mentioned, the Russian Federation’s government and PJSC Gazprom announced a new hydrogen roadmap in January 2023. From 2025 to 2030, the planned horizon has now been expanded. With Rosatom, a similar agreement was also inked.
