Angel Trains has joined the industry consortium working on the Scottish Hydrogen Train Project. Scotland’s first hydrogen-powered train will be delivered as part of this cutting-edge project, providing a zero-carbon alternative to the country’s rail network.

Angel Trains will provide insight into power alternatives for new and converted stock, as well as funding to manufacture green hydrogen from renewable sources, based on the experience of our teams. We are excited to join Arcola Energy, Transport Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, and the University of St Andrews in the industrial collaboration.

“We are proud to be partnering with Arcola Energy and the industry consortium to offer our technical support and expertise on this ambitious project.”
