SFC Energy teams up with Austria’s TEST-FUCHS GmbH and Switzerland’s Auto AG Group to roll out their emission-free mobile hydrogen generator, H₂Genset, into serial production following a successful test phase.

The test phase was comprehensive, involving field tests by various parties including construction companies, telecommunications providers, and festival operators. The results have led to an upgraded version of the H₂Genset with a user-friendly interface enabling smooth operation and cloud-based monitoring.

The H₂Genset stands apart as its integrated tanks can be refueled at hydrogen filling stations. It also recently achieved CE certification, aligning with European directives and standards. This significant accomplishment clears the way for the broad market entry of the H₂Genset in Europe.

The development-to-production process of the H₂Genset was swift, requiring just 24 months. As a trailer-mounted power generator, it offers reliable, emission-free energy with a 10 kW nominal and 28 kW peak output.

The H₂Genset’s mobile design allows for flexible use in areas without a traditional power grid, or where uninterrupted power is essential. Perfect for outdoor festivals, construction sites and shielding critical infrastructures from power failures, it stands as an eco-friendly alternative to diesel generators.

The H₂Genset can notably reduce the carbon footprint of its users, thanks to its emission-free energy generation. It has already received the Karl Ritter von Ghega-Prize Innovation Prize for its environmental benefits.

The mobile power solution was achieved through a strong partnership among SFC Energy AG, TEST-FUCHS GmbH, and Auto AG Group. Together, the companies swiftly developed an ecological and clean energy source to replace fossil energy generators.

The H₂Genset sets a new standard in flexible use of hydrogen for power generation. It allows users to transition from relying on conventional fossil energy sources to substantially reducing their carbon footprint.
