In a recent announcement, the Chinese province of Shaanxi outlined numerous initiatives to expedite the construction and enhancement of a circular development economic system that is environmentally friendly and low in carbon emissions.
Develop a “Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Plan” as quickly as possible, and support the construction of large-scale by-product hydrogen purification projects in Yulin, Weinan, Tongchuan and Hancheng, as well as the establishment of 2-3 thousand-ton fuel cell-level hydrogen plants in other parts of the province.
By 2025, non-fossil energy installed capacity will account for 49.5% of total installed capacity, while geothermal heating will account for 70 million square meters of total installed capacity. Energy usage accounts for 16 percent of total consumption.
