Siemens Digital Industries Software has unveiled a groundbreaking collaboration with REJOOL, a hydrogen compression startup based in Witzenhausen, Germany.

This partnership aims to leverage Siemens’ cutting-edge Xcelerator as a Service portfolio to propel REJOOL’s innovative PIONYR hydrogen compression technology into the market.

REJOOL specializes in designing and manufacturing compact, oil-less, and small-size hermetically gas-tight piston compressors tailored for stationary high-pressure hydrogen applications. The Siemens Xcelerator as a Service portfolio will play a pivotal role in implementing a digital twin-based development process, ensuring the seamless introduction of REJOOL’s breakthrough PIONYR series compressors.

The PIONYR series compressors set themselves apart with their modular and customizable design, catering to diverse sectors such as the building industry, research and development facilities, and off-grid applications. REJOOL’s adoption of Siemens’ NX software for product engineering and simulation, coupled with Teamcenter X for cloud-based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), reflects a commitment to embracing cutting-edge technologies for enhanced efficiency.

Stephan Hillebrand, CTO of REJOOL, emphasized the importance of a fully digital workflow from the initial concept to the final product. Siemens’ software solutions enable simultaneous simulation and product rendering, fostering effective collaboration both internally and with external partners. The cloud-based infrastructure ensures structured and collaborative work, offering real-time product data visualization and seamless data exchange.

Siemens Digital Industries Software, represented by Klaus Löckel, Managing Director of the DACH region, applauds pioneers like REJOOL for contributing to a lower-carbon future. The Siemens Xcelerator as a Service portfolio provides an affordable, production-ready toolset, allowing startups to focus on innovation without the traditional implementation costs and time constraints.

The hydrogen industry plays a crucial role in shaping a cleaner and more sustainable future. Siemens Digital Industries Software’s collaboration with REJOOL exemplifies the commitment to cutting-edge technology and collaborative efforts that will drive innovation in hydrogen compression, contributing to a greener world.
