ABB has been contracted by Danish company H2 Energy Esbjerg ApS to provide basic electrical engineering for its 1 GW hydrogen production facility in Esbjerg, Denmark. The plant is expected to produce up to 90,000 tons of hydrogen per year, making it the largest green hydrogen plant in Europe.
H2 Energy Esbjerg, a Danish hydrogen company, has announced that it will build a distribution hub for the transport of green hydrogen in Taulov in several phases. The timing of the phases will depend on the expansion of the Danish hydrogen infrastructure and the clarification of the commercial framework for heavy hydrogen-powered transport in Denmark.
