RINA, a multinational engineering consultancy, inspection, and certification company, has announced the commencement of the six-year research Hydra project to build a 100% hydrogen-fuelled pilot plant capable of producing up to seven tonnes of different grades of steel per hour.
The pilot is modular and scalable, so it can be used in a wide range of vehicles, thus allowing the decarbonization of Chilean mining, which is responsible for the emission of more than 16 million tons of CO2 per year.
The world’s first liquid hydrogen-powered ship, HYDRA, has now been delivered from LMG Marin.
