Technip Energies has been selected by IVERSON eFuels AS, to perform the engineering design of a complete green ammonia plant at Sauda, Rogaland, Norway.
A green ammonia plant, comprising utilities, offsites, and an electrical substation connected to the existing power grid, as well as a pipeline, ammonia storage, and offloading system, are included in phase one of the project. The green ammonia that will be produced will be utilized as a fuel for the marine industry.
The Iverson project will start with a 300-megawatt electrolysis capacity and generate 600 tons of green ammonia per day. IVERSON eFuels AS intends to increase output significantly in the future.
“We are happy to have been selected by IVERSON eFuels AS for this ambitious Green Ammonia manufacturing project,” said Laure Mandrou, Senior Vice-President Carbon-Free Solutions at Technip Energies. We will help IVERSON eFuels AS secure the success of this first-class project by using our creative mentality, performance excellence, and unique track record. We are dedicated to using our integration and design knowledge to develop the future of carbon-free energy.”
Green ammonia is predicted to be employed as a climate-neutral fuel, particularly in the marine sector and in the production of climate-neutral power.
