TECO2030 and Norwegian energy company Narvik Hydrogen have signed a letter of intent to collaborate on relevant projects with the goal of developing a complete hydrogen value chain.
The two parties will discover, evaluate, and participate in relevant projects as part of the agreement. Narvik Hydrogen will provide green hydrogen to be used as fuel for the fuel cells developed by TECO2030 for the projects on which they decide to collaborate.
Hydrogen fuel cells, which convert hydrogen into electricity while emitting only water vapour and warm air, are the engines of the future.
Green hydrogen is hydrogen that is created using renewable energy sources such as wind turbines and solar panels. When ships or other large applications replace their traditional fossil-fuel-burning engines with green hydrogen-fueled fuel cells, they can become completely emission-free.
