The Tianjin Petrochemical Refining Department’s fuel cell hydrogen unit has been placed into service. The hydrogen generated has a purity of 99.999 percent after examination, and all indicators satisfy the criteria; it is now in steady operation.
With a production capacity of 1,000 kg/day, this project is Tianjin’s largest hydrogen supply project, capable of meeting the hydrogen demand of six hydrogen refueling stations, and is critical to the growth of Tianjin’s hydrogen energy sector.
Tianjin Petrochemical made full use of refinery exhaust gas to recover hydrogen and built a new fuel cell hydrogen purification and filling unit to increase hydrogen resource utilization, reduce hydrogen resource consumption, and meet the needs of the Tianjin market in order to open up the hydrogen energy industry chain.
They begin with technical preparation and personnel training, follow through with high-quality preparation, review, and issuance of technical documents such as operating procedures and emergency plans, and provide systematic training for all employees to ensure that they are qualified for employment. To guarantee a successful start-up, the purge, air tightness, pressure test, and other activities will be done in strict conformity with the requirements following the handover.
