The New Zealand market will get 20 Hyzon hydrogen fuel cell trucks ordered by TR Group.
600 horsepower and 58 tons of GCM units will be driven by green hydrogen, with just water vapour emissions. An FMOL (Fully Maintained Operating Lease) will allow clients to lease 20 HFC vehicles, which can remove an estimated 5,000 tonnes of CO2 from our environment each year.
The New Zealand Government and Hiringa Refueling New Zealand Limited, who are establishing the fuel delivery network for the trucks, have worked closely with TR Group.
Co-funding from the COVID Response and Recovery Fund and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority totals $6.0 million in New Zealand’s assistance for this initiative (EECA).
For performance testing, the first units will arrive in New Zealand in mid-2022, and the rest will arrive in the latter half of the year.
