Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk recently inked an MOU to support the clean hydrogen industry in nuclear power with Hyosung Heavy Industries and Hyundai Engineering.
This MOU was created to pioneer carbon neutrality, mass produce nuclear clean hydrogen, and demonstrate nuclear clean hydrogen, also known as the clean energy of the future.
Hyosung Heavy Industries & Construction will build a hydrogen liquefaction plant, a trailer for liquid hydrogen storage and transport, a pipeline for liquid hydrogen supply, a liquid hydrogen charging station, and take part in the development of a national industrial complex for hydrogen production using nuclear power, all in accordance with the agreement.
When constructing a clean hydrogen production plant using MMR, an SOEC stack production plant, and a national industrial complex for hydrogen production using nuclear power, Hyundai Engineering made the decision to concentrate on developing an infrastructure for high-temperature water electrolysis using MMR.
The military anticipates that the “Uljin nuclear hydrogen national industrial complex construction project” and the “large-scale clean hydrogen production demonstration complex construction project” that are now being supported by this business agreement will acquire traction.
