Universal Hydrogen has created a partnership with three Japanese companies to research—and eventually develop—a green hydrogen supply and logistics solution that would allow Japanese airlines to increase their use of hydrogen-powered aircraft in the near future.
A modular hydrogen distribution system for Japanese airlines will be studied by Universal Hydrogen, Sojitz Corporation, Mitsubishi HC Capital, and an unnamed third Japanese partner collectively.
The companies will jointly identify, assess, and qualify local hydrogen suppliers and partners for hydrogen production, hydrogen module filling, module delivery operations, and more in accordance with the parameters of the agreement. By this relationship, component producers, suppliers, Japanese government agencies, and potential clients will all be communicated with.
Also, the businesses will work together to research leasing and financing possibilities as well as marketing plans for both modular hydrogen capsules and Universal Hydrogen’s engine conversion kits.
