The supervisory board of Van Oord will be strengthened from 1 January 2021 with the arrival of Charlotte Insinger.

She is appointed for a period of four years with the possibility of reappointment.

Insinger held management positions at Robeco Group and Royal Dutch Shell. She has also held several non-executive board memberships at large companies and public organisations, such as Ballast Nedam and Eneco. Insinger has extensive knowledge and experience in finance, compliance, construction and the energy system. She also has extensive knowledge and experience in the (inter)national business world.

Her appointment leads to a further strengthening of the supervisory board. This appointment will have no consequences for the governance structure of the company.

The composition of the supervisory board will be from January as follows: Niek Hoek, chair, and members, Charlotte Insinger, Jean-Marie Laurent Josi, Rob Kretzers, Jan Valkier, Hans van der Ven and Paul Verheul.
