Getech has signed two exclusive strategic partnerships, which together position Getech at the forefront of work to establish a national network of hydrogen generation, storage and retail hubs. Exclusive strategic partnership was signed with H2 Green which is focused on establishing a network of large-scale hydrogen generation, storage and refueling hubs to support public and commercial transport fleets.

McDermott awarded contract for power-to-gas plant

McDermott International’s CB&I Storage Solutions company was awarded a contract by New Jersey Natural Gas for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of a power-to-gas plant in Howell, New Jersey. The plant will use solar power to generate green hydrogen for injection into an existing gas delivery network for home and commercial use.

Ballard and GEV work on new fuel cell-powered ship development

Ballard Power Systems has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Global Energy Venture for the development of a new fuel cell-powered ship, called C-H2 Ship, designed to transport compressed green hydrogen. The power required for a small-scale demonstration of the C-H2 Ship is expected to be under 10 megawatts (MW). At full scale, the C-H2 Ship will have a propulsion power requirement of approximately 26MW, and a containment system for storage of 2,000 tons of compressed green hydrogen.
