Proton Motor introduces new HyModule S4 fuel cell system
The new HyModule S4 fuel cell system has been introduced by Proton Motor Power Systems PLC, a London-based manufacturer and designer of hydrogen fuel cells and hydrogen-electric hybrid systems. The item provides “a simple ‘plug and play’ solution for markets seeking an emissions-free energy source as an alternative to traditional diesel and natural gas generators.”
It makes use of Proton Motor’s HyStack 200 technology. According to the company, the extension of its product line reflects the ongoing interest in hydrogen technology and puts it in a favorable position to capitalize on expected demand and go into commercialization.
Bramble Energy tests hydrogen-electric boat
First-ever real-world testing of a hydrogen-electric boat driven by a printed circuit board fuel cell (PCBFC) has been completed by UK technology company Bramble Energy.
According to what is known, the 17-meter boat was sent into the water at Sheffield, Yorkshire, where it finished emissions-free testing with a marinized fuel cell system. According to Bramble Energy, the fuel cell system can give the boat a range of about 600 miles when it uses the 14 kg of hydrogen that is stored on board. It can also provide extra power to the 22kWh battery system by using solar panels mounted on the boat’s roof.
Toyota Mirai successfully refueled by HNOI
A hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai has been successfully refueled by HNO International (HNOI) using its Compact Hydrogen Refuelling Station (CHRSTM).
The demonstration, which took held at a hydrogen workplace facility in Houston, Texas, demonstrated the applicability of CHRS across several vehicle types, such as hydrogen internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). It also confirmed the efficacy of CHRS.
Hyundai to showcase upcoming innovations at CES 2024
Under the theme “Ease every way,” Hyundai Motor Company will showcase upcoming innovations from throughout the Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) at CES 2024 in Las Vegas.
According to the corporation, the showcase redefines its role in making everyday life more pleasant, going beyond mobility to design a life that is based around the needs of people by completing the ecosystem for hydrogen energy and moving away from hardware and toward software-driven solutions.
