The World Hydrogen 2022 Awards were presented on the evening of May 9th, 2022 at the Rotterdam Ahoy during the World Hydrogen 2022 Summit & Exhibition.
The Green Hydrogen Project Award given to NEOM, the world’s largest green hydrogen project and a new model for sustainable living in Saudi Arabia.
Maersk won the Hydrogen Industrial Application Award for their groundbreaking 12 ocean-going container ships that can run on carbon neutral methanol from green hydrogen.
Randy Weterings, Electrification and Hydrogen at the Port of Rotterdam, received the Future Hydrogen Leader Award for his outstanding work integrating all the many programs, projects, and firms involved in the Port’s Hydrogen sector.
Hydrazine Fuel Cell Trucks and Heavy Duty Vehicles were awarded the Hydrogen Transport Award.
In addition to leading the creation of a hydrogen hub, the Port of Rotterdam was recognized for its extensive energy transition initiative linking the entire value chain.
This year’s Hydrogen Person of the Year Award went to Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, CEO of Hydrogen Europe.
