The World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition, the largest Hydrogen event dedicated to global hydrogen advancement, will return to Rotterdam in May 2023, according to the event’s organizers.
This announcement was made today by the Sustainable Energy Council (SEC), the Port of Rotterdam, the City of Rotterdam, and the Province of Zuid-Holland, all of which are actively involved in the event and have pledged to continue working together to make Hydrogen Europe the official global springboard for hydrogen deals and project developments.
Hydrogen is expected to play a significant role in the decarbonization of heavy industries around the world, making this conference and exhibition a must-attend event to inspire international collaboration between government and industry and expand knowledge sharing to ensure the rapid scale-up and deployment of a hydrogen economy in line with set climate goals.
In light of the fact that the 2022 World Hydrogen Summit was completely booked, the organizers have decided to expand the event for 2023, doubling the number of firms who will be in attendance. Unique site visits to port facilities and infrastructure where cutting-edge hydrogen projects are being developed will be one of the numerous highlights announced for 2023, giving delegates unusual access to these cutting-edge developments.
A important component of the region’s goal toward a circular economy and carbon neutrality by 2050, hosting World Hydrogen 2023 demonstrates the Province’s, City’s, and Port’s dedication to becoming Europe’s Hydrogen Hub. Large-scale green and blue hydrogen generation, imports, infrastructure, and use in industry and heavy-duty mobility are only some of the initiatives now underway at the Port of Rotterdam as part of the aims to create a world-class hydrogen value chain.
