JCB to test and use hydrogen-powered backhoe loader on UK roads

In accordance with a vehicle special order, the transport secretary has granted JCB special permission to test and operate its first-ever hydrogen-powered backhoe loader on UK roads.

An industrial juggernaut invested £100 million in JCB’s hydrogen combustion engines, which also resulted in the creation of 150 new jobs in the Midlands as part of the company’s hydrogen project.

The built environment accounts for over 25% of all greenhouse gas emissions in the UK, and the government has called the building industry “challenging to decarbonize.”

In situations when other forms of clean electricity might not be the most practical or efficient, hydrogen combustion devices are frequently considered as having a significant impact on lowering carbon emissions.

Mike Horn launches hydrogen fuel cells start-up

The renowned adventurer Mike Horn recently established a start-up near Grenoble that is creating a revolutionary hydrogen fuel cell.

Mike Horn contacted Grenoble to work with the Innovation Laboratory for New Energy Technologies and Nanomaterials in the European hydrogen valley (CEA-Liten).

In order to launch the start-up Inocel, Mike Horn contributed 10 million euros alongside Mauro Ricci (ex-boss of Akka Technologies). It moved into the Grenoble suburbs towards the conclusion of 2022. Around thirty staff and a future production facility, from which their first hydrogen fuel cells will be produced by 2024, are housed within the company’s premises.

Bayotech delivers its 700th hydrogen transport trailer to Plug Power

The 700th high-pressure gas transport trailer from BayoTech has been delivered. The HyFillTM bulk hydrogen transport trailer was delivered to Plug Power, a pioneer in turnkey hydrogen solutions for the worldwide green hydrogen economy, at the Tulsa, Oklahoma factory.

This accomplishment is another another step in BayoTech’s mission to provide a safe, dependable, and long-lasting hydrogen infrastructure in the United States that will enable communities to access affordable, low-carbon hydrogen.

Customers rely on BayoTech’s bulk hydrogen transport trailers to deliver hydrogen effectively to distribution and dispensing locations and, eventually, the end user, including retail refueling stations, backup power systems in distant locations, and industrial production locations. In order to construct a virtual pipeline for dependable hydrogen delivery, Type III composite cylinders carry up to three times as much compressed gaseous hydrogen per load than conventional steel tube trailers.
