REDAVIA’s free solar energy leases help businesses in Ghana and Kenya during Covid-19 crisis

REDAVIA has signed four new COVID-19 resilience leases in Ghana and Kenya, providing these businesses with a free solar energy solution for six months in order to be able to resist the COVID crisis.

Siginon Aviation is a ground handling company based at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi, Kenya. Its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy opts for environmental conservation for present and future generations of its communities. And, the free solar energy solution offered by REDAVIA supports this effort in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR) well.

“The partnership with REDAVIA comes at a time when the green agenda is a key business objective. This solar energy solution gives Siginon Aviation the opportunity to reaffirm its commitment as a responsible corporate citizen.”

Edwin Ronoh, chief financial officer at Groupe Siginon.

Wonder Feeds recently modernized its plant to accommodate its growing animal feed business. When the COVID crisis hit the economy, management kept product prices unchanged for customers despite rising raw material costs, leaving the company under the burden of the highest operating expenses. Faced with these economic aspects, general manager Abdul Parkar expressed his delight when REDAVIA extended his hand to him which he in turn extended to his customers.

Methodist University College Ghana president Akwasi Asabere-Ameyaw has been looking for an alternative energy solution for some time now, but no solution was suitable until REDAVIA offered its facility the opportunity to reduce carbon emissions while making savings that can be reinvested in the university.

COVID-19 has greatly disrupted African businesses. In this difficult period, REDAVIA allows companies to reduce their operating costs thanks to a free rental service for solar power plants. REDAVIA presented the COVID-19 resilience lease, which provides solar power plants to corporate customers free of charge for six months.

“We are happy to be able to leave a positive mark on our business partners in this time of need and to establish win-win relationships for decades to come. COVID’s resilience lease program is already a huge success, and we want to strengthen it further. To do this, we invite more companies to submit their own applications.”

Erwin Spolders, CEO and founder of REDAVIA.
