Nedstack and Groeneveldt ink deal for delivery of workboat portable fuel cell system

A deal was reached between Nedstack, a producer of PEM-fuel cell stacks and systems, and Groeneveldt, a workboat expert, for the delivery of a portable fuel cell system that will power an environmentally friendly workboat for the Province of Overijssel. This project is an example of the highest level of maritime sustainability.

The MPU 20-400-AC, a flexible mobile PEM fuel cell system suitable for both maritime and mobile applications, will be showcased in this cooperative project. On longer working days, the system will recharge the onboard battery as an emission-free range extender on the workboat when shore power is unavailable. Furthermore, the PEM fuel cell system is easily detachable from the ship for a variety of mobile on-shore applications.

First Hydrogen sees significant market for hydrogen-powered FCEVs

Leading leader in the hydrogen fuel industry First Hydrogen Corp. released the findings of a thorough market survey conducted throughout North America by Sacre-Davey Engineering Inc. According to the study, there is a significant market for hydrogen-powered fuel-cell light commercial vehicles (FCEVs), with an estimated 6 million cars now in use. It is predicted that by 2035, this number would rise to more than 8 million due to strict regulations requiring zero emissions.

The results give First Hydrogen Corp.’s strategic plan to open FCEV assembly facilities and green hydrogen production facilities in Shawinigan, Québec, significant support.

High-box technology to promote green hydrogen

In order to heed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for the promotion of “green hydrogen” as a means of revolutionizing the energy sector, serial entrepreneur Gaurav Tiwari Tony has invented the high-box technology.

He disclosed that the novel Hi-Box technology is purely thermal in nature, utilizing 200 degree hard rock to produce steam in a closed loop that powers turbines to produce green energy. The method creates “green hydrogen” with the help of electrolyzers.
