EWE to provide ecologically friendly hydrogen to Bremen steelworks

Beginning in 2028, the energy provider EWE plans to provide ecologically friendly hydrogen to the Bremen steelworks. A matching declaration of intent has now been signed by the steel company Arcelor-Mittal and EWE. Climate-neutral hydrogen generation is thought to be one of the most important requirements for transforming steelworks into “green steel” producers. By the middle of the 2020s, the Bremen Steelworks, which presently produces half of the state of Bremen’s CO2 emissions, hopes to be manufacturing steel that is climate neutral.

India Launches Mode 2A Incentive Scheme

With an emphasis on Component II: Incentive Scheme for Green Ammonia Production and Supply under Mode 2A, the Indian government has introduced the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Programme. This program is an essential component of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, which has been allocated ₹19,744 crore until the fiscal year 2029–2030, with ₹17,490 crore going toward the SIGHT program.

PLN Indonesia Power to open Indonesia’s first hydrogen refueling station

In an effort to lower carbon emissions from the transportation sector, PLN Indonesia Power, a division of the state-owned energy business PLN, is getting ready to open Indonesia’s first hydrogen refueling station (HRS). Built to absorb “green” hydrogen production from the 21 plants PLN installed last year, the HRS is expected to start running in February once 98 percent of its construction has been completed.

TDK Ventures invests in INERATEC

TDK Corporation said that its subsidiary, TDK Ventures, has taken part in the Series B fundraising round of German e-fuel pioneer INERATEC. Yanmar gets ClassNK AiP for marine hydrogen fuel cell system

Yanmar Power Technology (YPT), a Japanese business, has received approval in principle (AiP) from classification association ClassNK for its marine hydrogen fuel cell system. This is the first time a Japanese manufacturer has received AiP certification for a system of this kind.

Yanmar created a 300 kW marine hydrogen fuel cell system that is intended to be easily installed on ships. It includes important auxiliary components such gas valve units incorporated into the system enclosure.
