StormFisher Hydrogen has secured a $50 million commitment from Hy24’s Clean Hydrogen Infrastructure Fund, the world’s largest low-carbon hydrogen asset manager.
This strategic partnership aims to accelerate StormFisher Hydrogen’s pipeline of clean fuel production projects in North America, supporting final investment decisions (FID) and advancing the transition to low-carbon energy solutions.
StormFisher Hydrogen’s project pipeline includes facilities in the United States (Texas, Kansas, Minnesota) and Canada (Ontario region). These projects will collectively convert up to 1.8 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy from solar and wind into renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO), such as green hydrogen, e-Methanol, green ammonia, and e-Methane. The company’s most advanced project, located in North Texas, is expected to reach FID in early 2026 and will produce over 120,000 tonnes of e-Methanol annually.
StormFisher Hydrogen’s projects are expected to create approximately 50 permanent jobs per site, contributing to local economic growth. The company’s focus on e-Fuels is critical for decarbonizing hard-to-abate industries such as maritime, aviation, and chemicals.
With previous investment from ARC Financial Corp.’s ARC Energy Transition Fund and the new commitment from Hy24, StormFisher Hydrogen is poised to deploy billions of dollars in capital over the next decade.
