Bergen Engines works on Norway’s longest hydrogen ferry connection The world’s largest hydrogen boats will be powered by four generating sets from Bergen Engines, a Norwegian power solutions provider, and will operate on Norway’s longest ferry connection, which runs from Bodø to Lofoten. Low carbon Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) will power the C25:33L8A generating sets, which will supply backup power to the hydrogen fuel cells that power the vessel’s propulsion system.
