GE Vernova has announced an exciting development in the energy sector with a new order for a hydrogen-ready power plant in Singapore.

The India Hydrogen Alliance (IH2A) has expanded its network with six influential new members, welcoming Sumitomo Corporation India, Worley Limited, Jindal Renewable Power, HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL), Trilegal, and Cochin Shipyard Limited.

TE H2, a joint venture formed by TotalEnergies and the EREN Group, is teaming up with two prominent Danish firms, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and A.P. Møller Capital. Together, they are set to kick off pre-FEED studies for a hydrogen project located in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, right along the Atlantic coast.

Masdar, a leading renewable energy company, has delayed its ambitious goal to produce one million tonnes of green hydrogen annually. Originally planned for 2026, the target is now set for 2030.

“Nuclear has to be considered in the energy mix,” argues Adrien Vega from Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL). “If you have all the advantages that a nuclear plant has in terms of electricity and heat, it only makes sense to think about producing hydrogen leveraging all that.”
