Estonia moves forward with hydrogen-electric RoPax ferry The national ferry operator, Estonian State Fleet, is developing one of the most cutting-edge ferry designs in an effort to introduce one of the biggest electric, hydrogen-fueled passenger ferries in 2026. The design project started in 2021, and the shipyard was chosen in a recent tender to build the vessel. Working with the Finnish ship design and engineering company Deltamarin, designs for the zero-emission ferry were created.
