Chemical Triangle area in Bavaria adds hydrogen project The “Chemical Triangle” area in southeastern Bavaria will be the focus of future research on the climate-neutral transition of the entire German chemical industry. The focus will be on using hydrogen as an energy source and as a feedstock for key basic chemicals. The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) funds the “H2 Living Laboratory of the Union Project Burghausen” with about 39 million euros.
