Hyoffwind, a Belgian consortium, has agreed to design and build a green hydrogen production unit in Zeebrugge with John Cockerill and BESIX. This agreement marks a new milestone for Hyoffwind, which is leading the way in the development of hydrogen technology in accordance with the Flemish, Belgian, and European hydrogen strategies. Advent Technologies, a leader in the fuel cell and hydrogen technology space, has signed new contracts for the delivery of electrochemistry components with manufacturers of clean power generation and energy storage solutions. The contracts, worth a total of $2.2 million, were signed in the fourth quarter of 2021. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer announced a major push to make New York State the home of the nation’s first Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub, as envisioned by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The city of St Helens has ordered ten hydrogen-powered refuse collection trucks from Faun Bluepower. It is the first municipality to use the vehicles, which are manufactured in the United Kingdom in collaboration with Daimler Trucks. Both Ministers signed the Letter of Intent on New and Renewable Energy Technology at the fourth India-Australia Energy Dialogue. The Letter of Intent acknowledges both nations’ commitment.
