CWind has received a contract from ScottishPower Renewables for work on the East Anglia ONE offshore wind project. CWind will provide subsea maintenance of the foundations and offshore substation, subsea surveys, corrective maintenance, as well as pre-engineering studies. ENGIE North America has signed a major tax equity financing for its renewables portfolio consisting of 1.5 GW of onshore wind and 0.5 GW of utility-scale solar PV projects – 11 farms in total. TKF has secured a contract by Seaway 7 for the delivery of 33 kV inner array cables for the Kaskasi offshore wind farm project by innogy, located in the German North Sea. The scope of TKF includes the manufacturing and delivery of 52 kilometers 33kV aluminium core inner array grid cables with different cross sections. Eager.one has been contracted by Van Oord to provide a new type of anode cage installation tool. The anode cage will be installed over monopile from Van Oord’s floating vessel Svanen. The challenge presented to the Eager.one team was to design an installation aid that can install the anode cage over the monopile, while preventing collision between the two. Based on the requirements the company has designed and constructed the Anode Cage Installation Aid (ACIA). The Conway Corp board of directors has approved a 20-year purchase power agreement with Lightsource BP for the development of a 132MWdc solar energy project in White County, Ark. Lightsource BP will finance, build, own and operate the facility and will deliver the solar energy it generates to Conway Corp under the fixed-rate power purchase agreement. The Happy Solar project is located on 700 acres near Happy, Arkansas, approximately 55 miles northeast of Little Rock. The Carbon Trust’s Offshore Wind Accelerator (OWA) has revealed guidance for the geophysical surveying for unexploded ordnance (UXO) and boulders, supporting subsea cable installation by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of surveys. The new guidance, dedicated to the offshore wind industry, aims to optimize surveys by equipping offshore wind developers and surveyors with information to facilitate the creation and utilization of data according to best practice, a consistent structure and improved survey result documentation. Snam and RINA have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in the hydrogen sector, in order to realize the significant potential of hydrogen as a fundamental energy carrier in the fight against climate change and industrial decarbonization. The agreement was signed by Snam CEO Marco Alverà and RINA CEO Ugo Salerno. The two companies have formed a joint working group to study and test the compatibility of industrial burners and other existing infrastructure already in operation with hydrogen.
