Retail giant Carrefour has partnered with Hysetco to inaugurate an extensive hydrogen station network in the Île-de-France region. This initiative marks a pioneering move in creating an eco-friendly refueling infrastructure.

By the end of the year, it plans to tender 12.5 gigawatts (GW) of gas-to-hydrogen capacity. This initiative reflects Germany’s commitment to transitioning from fossil fuels to more sustainable energy sources.

Recently, Germany extended its green energy initiatives abroad, with Egypt emerging as a key partner in green hydrogen production.

This target is a broader European initiative to combat climate change and move towards a carbon-neutral economy by 2050. Adopting green hydrogen is crucial for decarbonizing various sectors, including transportation, industry, and heating.

This landmark decision includes a substantial allocation of R$ 18 billion in incentives to accelerate the country’s development and adoption of green hydrogen technology.

This collaboration is part of a broader effort to transition to sustainable energy sources and reduce carbon emissions.
