Amp Energy, one of the largest hydrogen developers in Australia, has partnered with Iron Road Ltd. to develop green hydrogen at scale on the Cape Hardy Port Precinct in South Australia. The agreement will leverage Amp’s expertise in developing electrolyzer capacity and Iron Road’s Central Eyre Iron Project (CEIP), which has the country’s largest magnetite ore reserve.

Black Hills Energy (BHE), a utility company that serves over 1.2 million customers in eight states, has announced that it will be working with Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) on a feasibility study for a proposed project that aims to produce clean hydrogen from coal and capture carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions at BHE’s Neil Simpson Power Plant in Gillette, Wyoming. The project will utilize B&W’s BrightLoop™ hydrogen generation technology, a chemical looping technology that can use a variety of fuels to produce clean energy with complete CO2 capture.

Hydrogen Europe, the European hydrogen association, has announced the appointment of Dr Sopna Sury as its new chair. Effective from 26th April 2023, Dr Sury has been elected to lead the association for the next two years until June 2025. She succeeds Jon André Løkke, the outgoing board member and former CEO of Nel Hydrogen.
